I'm an American and even I think that's too much.

On the plus side, you can leave full for only 500 yen.

Now these are some portions I can get behind. If I go to Japan, I know where I'm going to eat first. Don't worry, Sanae-san, after this, you and Kogasa-san can go on a diet together; just make sure not to tell Yuyuko-sama about it.

Some places in japan are big on food, more so than the usual american place, though Mizuki and his circle of friends seem skilled at finding such places to eat at.

I'd have to agree with you there. The serving size is just overkill, even for stuff in the U.S.

As for the poll, the Miso Katsu is probably what I'd go for the most, but that Tenmusu looks good as well.

You two are welcome to come down here to the deep south and visit one of our famous (grande-sized-serving) food joints and then retract them statements (or not, just that there are crazier things in the U.S.A.). Y' ain't seen large till you've seen them... cause this here's just a medium in my book.
To 'impress' me, you'd have to set a 68oz with a relative amount of that ice cream in front of me... and only after I've eaten as much as Mr. Hitoshi did.
...And most of my old Texas buddies can out eat me to the point that they freak me out...

I've been to Texas, so I have some idea of what to expect there. And i still say that what was shown in the comic (and the twitter picture) are still just too big, with those "grande-sized-serving" foods being ludicrously so.

Doubly so on the ludicrous portions.
Although, one has to admit, them 'cowboys' do work it off rather quick; so I guess one can afford them those sizes... now about normal folk? Different story entirely.
