Never underestimated Food poisoning!

Just as I said back in Two Strips ago. Never. Ever. Underestimate food poisoning.

So they did go to the hospital. Get well, Kogasa-san.

Is food poisoning that bad? I'm not sure if I've ever had it before.

Not sure if my case is consider food poisoning but i once ate chicken which is probably 3 days old i think some fly already attracted to it and i didnt know and ate it then after that during the night had to the toilet and it was nasty and had to go see the doctor next morning and was during the fasting month no less so yeah it kinda bad and you would not have any appetite for awhile

I had food poison from bad Oysters. And really, you don't want to experience it.

It ranges from the need to go to toilet every hour, having a stomach pain, or like Kogasa did, a never ending dialogues with the old ones
So yea...it's pretty bad especially if you have something to do

I'd figured even if I went to a doctor and got him to hook me up to a nutrient IV drip, that wouldn't do much, and food poisoning should get better soon enough, so I was continuing with the trip, but I didn't think I'd become unable to stand.

By the way, before this, we went by our usual soba place, but I was sleeping in the car.

The Ran-shama person, who'd hurt their ribs, was saying, "It doesn't hurt! If I go to the hospital, it'll be needlessly painful, so it doesn't hurt!" :-)

I switched around the arrangement of characters for this manga, so I didn't draw it, but the only folks who met with bad luck were the ones riding in the microvan I was driving, so conversation turned to whether something was up with the car. Only Tani-san came through unscathed, which means he was the culprit! (mean)

Reader-added tags include "Tani-san's main body is the apple? That means...", "You're just loaded with misfortune, Kogasa-san & crew", and "Rest easy, it's not an angel of death, Kogasa-san".

Does not surprise me in the least that Tani-san did not have anything bad happen to him.

Also the Ran person should not scoff at a broken rib. Depending how it is broken it can puncture a lung or some other vital organ.

Too bad I did, like 4 days and 4 days of puke (even when my stomach was empty) plus fever and random shit (also literally), all of it mixed with my tears of pain.

I may not remember properly but this seems like his worse trip yet unless I'm forgetting something.

At least Japanese nurses have the stereotypical nurse appearance, unlike the ones in the United States. No white uniformed angels (not literally angels since those would be terrifying) for us. I wonder if Sanae-wife was worried?

Sounds pretty similar to what a Blood Pressure of 260 feels like, except it also comes with skull shattering headache. Oh, and a seizure where you end up in a coma for 3 days. Oh and when you wake up, the doctors tell you that you have a tumor in the pancreas, along with pancreatitis.

2013 has been fucking awesome.

Oh wow, it's bad news when the body loses the ability to stand. Kogasa-san did the right thing by making sure to get to the hospital. This really did turn out to be quite the unfortunate trip for everyone. Have to make sure to stop by a shrine for luck before making another journey.

And Food poisoning ranges from something like diarrhea to being shot by taser multiple times. I have been hospitalized due to that and the symptoms were the second one. Good thing my mouth didn't foamed.

Kind of glad my bout of food poisoning wasn't too severe. Although I never got to sleep that night.

...Paralysis? I guess that means it wasn't just food poisoning.

I don't think that was paralysis, more like sudden and severe weakness, like the one you feel with very high fever or when deadly tired after over-training.

I never had to go to the hospital, but I was chained to the toilet by both ends. Food poisoning is quite a thing to be feared.

Food poisoning exits the body from the upper and lower exits. Vomiting isn't the bad part which mostly lasts the same night, it is the extreme diarrhea that can be dangerous for the following days. Dehydration of the body is most common underestimated symptoms. Not only bad meat (food poisoning), but also salad in some countries, washed with bad/contaminated local tap water could lead to diarrhea.

If anything, I am glad that the vomiting is brief, if only because of how much it hurt. Avoiding any solid foods during that time seemed to help as well, but I might be reading too much into that. But, yeah, the dehydration from the prolonged diarrhea did have me worried when I got sick.

And I can vouch for non-meat dishes making you sick, as I think I got it from either delivery lo-mein (something tells me that any delivery restaurant that calls itself, or a branch of itself, "fast express" is probably not the best in terms of quality) or from leftover delivery bread pudding (which was about as dense as a brick).

Either way, it sucked and I was definitely afraid, especially with vomiting potentially interfering with taking/keeping-down medication.
