There is absolutely no question that they are related. And it was hilarious. Thanks for the link.

    Brilliant!

Also, notice how Yuugi's horn has cracked the counter.

If they're calling each other 'the devil' wouldn't the Japanese equivalent be calling each other Oni? (which would work especially well considering who is talking here)

Not exactly. The japanese do have an actual word for devil "Akuma". Instead of calling each other Youkai/Oni. Unless this is a joke that is double lost in translation since it's a finnish comic.

Not the case here, even though it somewhat makes sense. Both words used are just common curse words that don't really MEAN anything, similar to yelling "fuck" and "shit" when you're angry. They aren't calling each other devils, they're just cursing.

    ...anyone else get MGS3 vibes?

obviously "The Pain" will come the next day.

One of the users at Apokalauta asked for a May Day* special and setz decided this was the one.

    *Or if you prefer, Walpurgisnacht

Well, now I know not to go drinking in Russia (or Saudi Arabia, but I already figured that drinking there would be a bad idea).

I'd love to see him do the one in the spoilers.

*Both of these are common Finnish curses that literally mean the devil.

Perkele (Perkons, Perkūnas, Perun) is one of the old gods of Finns, Balts and Slavs. How rude (and very christian) to call the guy a devil!

Well, to the christian crusaders he was a false god and therefore as good as a demon. The Finnish translations of the Bible started using it as another name for the devil and everyone just kinda rolled with it.

I'd just be proud if my name was one of the best swear words in the whole world.

I regard it as a power word rather than a swear word. Now I'm being somewhat assburgerish though.

Cunt!* *Both of these are common Finnish curses that literally mean "the Devil" (note the similarity of Yuugi's line to the word "Satan"). Good English alternatives don't really exist.
