It means you should take care with what cosmetics you apply, or else you'll die and your whole body will melt away, but your face will still be embalmed in that gunk and not rot.
The artist commentary on Pixiv says this is from an art book titled "Judgment Day", or rather he/she was involved in it. I cant find if this actual pic is in it, but it would certainly fit the theme.
it was titled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY", so it could be the artist depicting herself (?) - she probably felt anorexic & sedentary (rotten on the couch until she became a skellie), on top of having poor health in the first place (bunch of medications on the couch-side drawer). the mechanical breather could have been something to do with lung or breathing problems; maybe asthma or pneumonia ? - staying inside all days can somewhat dull her sense of time, hence the nonsensical clocks. - dunno about the hair snakes, but if we go by the Medusa/Gorgon metaphor then it could be she seeing herself as pretty or ugly or both. maybe she got some looks, but consider her lifestyle, she might look bad in other aspects. - the blocky couch looks like its made of stone or concrete, so the artist was probably complaining about her own couch being uncomfortable. - its fortunate that her apartment even get some sunlight. - bunch of books on the bookshelf; some books left around here & there...
