I think Yuuka might somewhat be trying to protect Cirno, what if Cirno powers keep growing and she just goes crazy... much like it happened a few strips ago, her wanting to beat Yuuka pushed her to a limit that not many could be able to handle, maybe next time she does it bigger and not even Yuuka can handle it, then what

Yeah, if her power gets to the point that everything freezes when she's near it, that would be even more dangerous than Yuuka's former powers.

My theory on Cirno's power is this: Global warming in our reality and Global"cooling" in Gensoukyou, where, due to it being an element/a phenomena of nature, it focused onto a single point and embodied itself as a fairy. So if our reality keeps increasing global warming, Cirno will only keep on getting stronger
