I think I lot of people were expecting spiny lobster cuisine like we had before at our second wedding afterparty, but my parents' place is in the city, so they don't have that kind of fare that often. :-)

Still, as expected, my mother's cooking is nostalgically pleasing—although our home does things like serving up curry and sushi at the same time. :-)

Reader-added quotes include "Yuyuko-sama sure looks happy", "The taste of home cooking", and "You're in gourmet food land, eh, Yuyuko-sama".

The survey wastes no chance to ask about food:

Air rice. Kidding. I do a lot of dishes from stews to barbecues. But when you have no money, you'll have to stick with leftovers over rice.

Ack I forgot about the wedding part! I guess Yuyuko really is in food heaven now. I agree with you about the hospitality of country folks :D

Pretty much what I'm having daily. Living expenses nowadays...

This should be interesting; Mama-karakasa-san's cooking vs. Yuyuko-sama's stomach. Will Mama-karakasa-san be able to satisfy Yuyuko-sama? Looks like all is well so far; enjoy the meal, everybody!

For the poll, Ochazuke over rice, because rice can go with everything, and it's the perfect budget meal.
