    自分の日頃の行いを小傘さんに投影して描いてみようという日記漫画です。

    無停電電源装置(UPS)とは、要は停電の時に、セーブする時間を稼いでくれるバッテリー補助電源です。
    なので、基本的に数分～十数分しかもちません。
    繋ぐ機器の数によってもその時間はかわります。
    ナズさんの人の場合、繋いでる機器が多すぎてUPSに繋いでいい容量を超えてしまったようです。
    ちなみにうちでもUPSが鳴った時がありまして、そちらは家のコンセント側の電圧低下が原因でした。
    具体的には掃除機を使った時に警報が鳴ります。
    これがなかったらナズさんのは気が付きませんでしたね(^^;)

    I guess that Naz placed it behind her CPU which probably made it overheat due to exhaust or it's just power drops.

    After Trans:
    Oh yeah, that's why I placed individual alarms for every warning signal for my computer.

    I wish Windows 7 had custom sound events. I want to get the "Connecting..." sound from EVE Online to play when connecting to a network...

    An Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is, in short, an auxiliary power source battery that earns you time to save what you're doing in case of a power outage. Of course, it basically lasts for no more than a few minutes, maybe up to ten. That time span also changes depending on how many machines you connect to it.

    In the Naz-san person's case, it seems too many machines were connected to the UPS, and they exceeded its good electrical capacity.

    By the way, the UPS alarm at my place has gone off too, but that was because of voltage drops in my house's outlets. Specifically, the alarm has sounded whenever we've used the vacuum cleaner. If that hadn't happened, I would never have realized about Naz-san's UPS. (^^;)

    Reader-added tags include "Over here, Sanae-san", "Broken-in UPS", and "Yuyuko:'Good job, Naz.'" There's also one involving a pun of the adapted phrase "just meet" (which means to hit a baseball squarely or to be someone's type) with "just meat", but I can't figure out how to make it work properly in English.

    Just to be pedantic again: that capacitance in the commentary should be more like capacity, given that UPS-es employ lead-acid batteries (which have capacity), not capacitors (with capacitance), the former being measured in Amp-hours, the latter in Farads.

    As for the poll, it really is a tricky question. I don't see Alive being such a superb cook, but she has her other points to consider. I wouldn't be that afraid to try Mysty either, given my night vision. But I think I'll go with Sakuya, she's a human just as I am, so hopefully she wouldn't base her food on youkai tolerances...

    I still think that mentioned capacity is related to transfer capacity (peak UPS load / Amp consumed before internal fuse breaks) rather than battery capacity.

    Nazrin-san should update her arrangement so that she can tell one alarm from the other, or at least know what each one sounds like. At least she knows for future reference, and she managed to exploit Kogasa-san's weak point: meat.

    For the poll, I'm going with Sakuya. We know she can cook up a storm of the best food you've ever eaten. Just have to hope she doesn't put any blood in it!
