considering it's a spellcard battle, kill doesn't fit since you don't "kill" per se. i'd rather change it to defeat, but we'll see how the story unfolds.

To be fair to the manga's postulation, Yukari's line of reasoning might be "Okay, you [Reimu] beat me once, but that was before you fell in love with this ice fairy... now let's see if you can still do it." In other words, Yukari is testing, not necessarily to see what Reimu has, but how much her relationship with Cirno has changed her fighting resolve. Has it weakened her, strengthened her even more, or had little to no effect?
Whatever the case, I'm a bit relieved Kamonari opted to not make Yukari that much of a heartless bitch after all. (Of course, it's not over yet...)

There was absolutely no need to add such INSANE amounts of DRAMA and cliffhangers. No need at all. I have nothing against danmaku fights. But against cheap, unnecessary and stupid deux ex-like sudden twists? I have without a doubt.
