Either Sanae is relief that she won't have to drive or just an excuse to not to drive?

Buzzed from a single can of beer? How does that even work, even allowing for the decreased alcohol tolerance of Asian populations?

She didn't sleep a wink that night, and alcohol amplifies fatigue awwwright, at least for me.

Asian glow may hit me like a ton of bricks even after a single beer, but I won't be tipsy (warm though).

I assume Sanaewife pulled a dick move:
    "Hey, can you driv--"
    "SORRY, I'M DRUNK, IT'S UNSAFE, G'NIGHT."

I received a powerful intention of refusal! Well driving at night is scary. :-)

Reader-added tags include "Even though you hung in there, Kogasa-san", "All America cried, Kogasa-san" (i.e., we feel your pain), and "You'll have to pitch in and help later, Sanae-san".

The poll asks about alternate methods of transportation:

How should we get to Osaka?!
    • On foot
    • Car
    • Train
    • Plane
    • Out-of-body experience

I'd probably go to Osaka by plane. I don't think I'd make it on foot.

Let's go on foot! It'll only take about two months.

Does she always carry a beer can for "get out of driving" purposes?

To whoever added "All America cried," if you're reading this, you put my thoughts out there; thank you kindly.

Driving at night isn't scary unless you'd driving in rural Wisconsin in the fall and you don't know if there's a deer around the next bend.

I think I choose to go to Osaka by plane. Since it's faster than having to go by train or car.

Those aren't just in Wisconsin. Or the fall.

"All America cried, Kogasa-san" (i.e., we feel your pain)"

I may be trying to over think this and missing something obvious but what does this mean?

I guess american is associated with beer? I would think that would be more of germany than america.

Just when Kogasa-san was hoping to catch a break after a night of hard work. Oh well, you can handle it, Kogasa-san. It's just a little driving, right?

For the poll, out of body experience, because once that fatigue hits on full, that's what it's going to feel like.

Pulling this move gives both a feeling of unfairness and comfort because they trust you so much, but mostly unfairness.
