Depending on what country you're in also impacts the legality of such relationships. As far as I'm aware it is legal in Japan. Additionally it would appear that it is also legal in parts of the US, with according to wikipedia only 30 states prohibiting most or all such marriages.

one also has to keep in mind that these are their avatars in a Virtual Reality MMORPG. In games such as this one people often times get away with Crimes that are a lot worse by comparison. Or at least they get away with it for a little while anyways, at least until the boy in this picture does something about it. So I think that the law would be lenient on this example of criminal activity, don't you?
