太平洋戦争中期から戦後しばらくまで世界各地で現役だったヴォート社の戦闘攻撃機。語り草になっている「サッカー戦争」において、最後のレシプロ戦闘機同士の空戦を演じたのもコルセアとされています。「蒼の英雄~birds of steel~」というゲームでも操縦可能で、着艦も出来るんですが今まで一度しか成功した試しがありません。前方視界は悪いわプロペラ径はデカくて甲板に引っ掛かるわでそら陸上運用にされるわ。でもそんなコルセアがアメリカ軍のレシプロ機の中で一番好きです。
A fighter from Vought, a company that was very popular around the world during and slightly after WW2. The well known "Football War", the last air battle between two opposing forces of reciprocating engine fighters, was also a Corsair battle. You can even fly one in the game "Azure Heroes ~birds of steel~", and while the game lets you do carrier landings with it I've never managed a successful one. Forward visibility is so bad, the propellor blades are so big they get caught on the deck, it's better to deploy them from land. Still, this is my favorite American reciprocating engine fighter.
