This is definitely one of the better pictures I've seen, but seeing as Meiling is a gate-guard, wouldn't gardening duties be assigned to someone more qualified, such as Sakuya?

Meiling is a qualified gardener too, you know.
Also, gate guard → closer to the outside → able to tend to gardens. Instead of Sakuya who stays in the mansion to serve that batch.

It ain't easy to groom your garden to be as wonderful and neat like this.

In canon Sakuya is a perfect and elegant maid and Meiling is the one with the green thumb.

In fanon they take it a step further (as a joke) and Sakuya literally kills any plants she tries to grow.
