Because the chance of snowing is higher with that temperature.

I figured, "It might be cold, since it's in the mountains," so I brought along two long-sleeved shirts just in case, and by layering those on, I became able to withstand it.

Reader-added tags include: "⑨:'I sure am the strongest!'", "Maybe Letty's around" and "Heaven has abandoned us".

The survey looks for ways to get through the situation:

    When it's cold, I...
    • Put on a lot of clothes
    • Turn on the A/C!
    • Lie around the heater
    • Use my final weapon: the kotatsu
    • Make believe A Dog of Flanders

I'm sure y'all living in colder climates would balk at the notion of -1ºC being "Cold".

Depends on the context. 10C in January= quite warm, shirts fine. 10C in October= quite cold, sweaters needed.

I kinda wish it was cold enough in Southern California for a kotatsu. Sadly, cold enough means just a sweater and the occasional summer clothes when it gets warm in winter.

Main problem is how bad the wind is up there. Otherwise, 30 degrees is nice.

We get -3 degrees all the time in winter. You just need to be dressed for it.

There are some AC-s that have a two-way coolant valve, so the heat pumps are reversed, pumping heat from outside to the inside. The problem is that these reversed heat pumps are prone to icing over in very cold weather, drastically lowering efficiency.

    During midwinter:
    -10-15ºC pretty warm.
-15-20ºC pretty much avarage. Not really cold
-20-30ºC pretty cold. Happens every now and then.
-35ºC Darn cold. Luckily only a few times a year.
It is ofcourse around 5ºC colder in the latenight/early morning.

I've ran around shirtless in shorts in ~15ºF tempatures surrounded by at least 3 feet of snow... about 20 minutes later I realized that it was cold out.
Yeah, I'm one of those people, red as a beet afterwards but not caring in the slightest.
...I think I almost got frost bitten from that ordeal.

Main problem over here is that it's a wet coldness. Dry cold is totally fine, but water sucks out your body warmth.

Looks like Kogasa-san should have done a little more planning; no need to worry about rain at those temperatures; it's far more likely to snow! I'm sure Kogasa-san and Sanae-san will manage it somehow.

When I was a kid, I used to refuse to wear a coat, even when it was below freezing outside. It would have to be below 20F for me to consider putting a coat on. I wish I was still like that; these days, I'm a lot more sensitive to it; I have to put on something it even flirts with freezing.

For the poll, lie around the heater. Nothing like sitting in front of the strongest source of heat in the room when it's really cold outside. A katatsu would be fine, too, if I had the space for one.

When it's cold, I usually do some exercise, gets the blood flowing. One time I was feeling too lazy to even do that, I slept through the cold (during a camp out trip, ice started forming) and woke up next to a fire. My shirt caught on fire from a flickering ember which was how I was awoken. Not the best way to get a wake up call I must say.

Seeing Cirno fly like that makes me think of Lily White while screaming "It's winter" or something.

The specific area I'm from (Southern Manitoba) is extremely notorious for having the most unforgiving seasonal temperatures. During the winter it could be -40ºC then in the summer it would be 35ºC, then the next year it would be not as bad. its always changing, and we usually get lots of snow or flooding. But that's the kind of stuff that makes us so hardy!

I can survive 10ºC with one layer of clothing due to my job at the ice cream factory in the tropics. It takes a while to get used to, though.
