I don't think the Ghostly Field Club and other music CDs are labeled as "touhou" anywhere, so it makes sense.

These costumes actually make sense for me:
Merry is like Satori (always taking care of everything and everyone and also is smart)
Renko is like Koishi (she’s always full of energy, she’s cheerful and happy and she looks like she doesn’t have a care for the world around her...)
