She can't help it: her back was turned, so she's looking back, while turning to the left, and her eyepatch is on her left eye. Or were you referring to something else?

I believe keonas is referring to the fact that someone wearing an eyepatch would have a strong aversion to looking behind them using their 'blind side'. In other words, it looks unnatural and she should be turned around the other way.

While you raise a valid argument, HaroldRowsdower, from what I've seen, there exists at least a small sub-genre for eyepatch girls. Infinite Stratos, Strike Witches, Another, jormungand, and Mirai Nikki are just the ones that come to mind off the top of my head; all of which feature one such character.

Saying "always" was a tad overreaching (though it does happen a looo ooo oot ), I was going through the Rob Liefeld collection of terrible art at the time and he usually falls into that trap of showing off the eye-patch, while also showing off the body through a twist.

Damn, poor Asuka can never have a break. Either she's fapped to, either she's devoured by ... thingies, either she's just killed, or she's strangled by the person she loved.

And sometimes, it's all of the above. I really hope she'll have her happy ending now.
