This character re-design has been a little on-the-side project for a while now, mostly for cooling my head from the irritation that arose while working on my Lightning contest entry. I finally got around to finishing it Imeanit'snotlikeIhaveseriousarttoworkon /shot.

These are my favourite Espada from Bleach. This whole thing started with me wanting to draw a black-haired Grimmjow, and then my imagination ran wild on designing a human version of the Arrancar.
Kubo doesn't explore the Arrancar's 'soul status' very in-depth, but I have a headcanon where it is possible for Arrancar to regain their heart and thus revert to an ordinary Plus (with Shinigami and/or reincarnation potential). From the agglomerated souls that make a Menos Grande, one individual personality arises. By sealing their Hollow powers as an Arrancer, I think they could regain their 'heart' as well, if they'd resolve their psychological issues, and pass on to Soul Society as a 'new' soul created from the souls the original Hollow ate.
I think in canon, Ulquiorra got very close to regaining his heart in his final moments. Somewhere in my head, a fanfic exists where he actually does become a Plus and is sent on to Soul Society. Judging on their personality, I think Hallibel, Lilynette, Starrk and perhaps Grimmjow also have the potential to regain their hearts.

But fan theories aside, I just really wanted to practice fashion design and draw some Bleach =P (Razz)

So here you go. On a side note, I chose to change the more unnatural haircolours of Grimmjow, Szayel and Nel, seeing as all human characters (in the manga at least) have a plausible haircolour.

From left to right, the characters are:
Grimmjow Jaegerjacquez - Punkish look to go with his aggressive personality. Leather jackets and belt chains FTW
Ulquiorra Schiffer - 'Emo Chique'. Self-explanatory I should think.
Tia Hallibel - A mature look with a bit of an edge in the (fake) leather leggings, accessories and short hair. She always had a bit of a lesbian vibe to me (not in the yuri sense though), so I tried to retain that though I don't mean to stereotype this is what lesbians look like or anything
Szayel Apporo Granz - Preppy look. You know, the kind of insufferable ass that runs around at expensive private schools. I think he studies Biochemistry at Oxford or something. His favourite manga is probably Death Note.
Nnoitra Gilga - I picture him to be a creepy metal-head. I made him a little less tall so he'd fit in with the rest of the cast more.
Nelliel Tu Oderschwanck - Hiphop/street-style. Something young and sportsy at least. I think she could be a dancer.
Coyote Starrk - Outdoorsy clothing, lots of nudes and greens, cargo pants and flip-flops a must. Potentially Australian XD Also, I seriously believe Starrk is a Game of Thrones expy. I mean come on, dark brown hair, grey eyes, a long face and a honourable and peaceful disposition in comparison with his peers? Plus, the NAME. He has to be a Stark. Maybe he's Ned Stark's soul :D (Big Grin)

Lilynette Gingerback - Total tomboy, complete with bikershorts!

Well, let me know what you think! I had fun with this, the simple colouring was a nice break from my recent fights with painting, and designing the outfits was also fun to do. Plus, this was a good exercise at drawing various body types without resorting to 'superfat' and 'bodybuilder' extremes.
