But with wired controllers, if you try to walk to the kitchen to get a drink while you're still gaming, it yanks the 360, which might result in scratches on the CD. ;(

The original X-box controllers came with quick-release connections so that if you pulled on them suddenly, they would automatically disconnect preventing any jerking of the console. Do the 360 controllers not have this feature?

I've accidentally yanked my PS1 off the shelf before though, when I got up and tripped over the controller's cord.

Well, Ralen, they're wireless... and the wired ones are USB so I guess no.

I wish I had at least one wired one...then I could use it to play on the computer.

Using my wiimote and the classic controller on the computer is a bit of a hassle.

then you put the controller down when you walk away. I don't think that you can see your tv from your kitchen.
