When Harpies take Human husbands, they invariably produce savage offspring equal to themselves. This has an exception: If the man should prove capable of putting the Harpie on the right path.

Though few, men with the will to put their Harpie owners on the right path may create Harpera, or Harpie Trueborn: A 'domestic' version of Harpies. Born with less feathers, shorter wingspan and smaller statures, with human-like hands, they appear much more like their Human parentage.

Although they lack the true flight of Harpies, they can utilize flight-optimized suits for approximately equal flight. They can also glide, riding on wind currents imperceptible to most. They also have notable singing voices as a near universal trait, making them popular entertainers. They are extremely popular in cities as postmen and singers, as well as their fiery and "free-spirited" natures, whilst retaining a sense of shame and self-conscious.

Like all "Trueborn", they are despised by their purer "Titan" kin as mutts: To the point that calling a Harpie a "Harpera", or vice-versa, could get you maimed, married or both.

Originally starting as just messengers, I thought the Harpera would make for an excellent example of the narrative's semi-biological evolution, as moral conscious becomes a greater and greater thing. Some may recognize the Harpie from the trio I posted a few months back: I picked her specifically because her bratty nature would make for a good showcase of the progress from savage beast to human-like girl.
