If this acttually DOES become a triple threat, that would boost Heavenly Sky's plot chances of making the finals, since wouldn't have to go directly through both Suika and Suwako to get there.

This isn't an arrogant play like Remilla taking on the Servants by herself. This is Sanae declaring their intent to have a fair fight against whatever team advances. That way no one can say that Team Moriya had an advantage or the other team had a handicap.
Out of the five remaining teams, I could care the least about Sanae/Suwako. Now I get to sit through two more fights from them. Lovely.
I haven't exactly been thrilled about this team during the tournament. Yeah, I didn't like the surprise victory over Yuuka, and I definitely didn't like Suwako going bat shit crazy on Day 2. The "let the audience choose the winner" ending of that fight just shows that the author isn't really invested in that team. Honestly, they're just boring to watch.
Sure, it would be interesting to have a Ten Desires team match, but it's simply filler. Even if Sanae/Suwako lose, they still get their second fight. That is, unless Yukari does something, or some other scheme gets hatched.

Or Okuu's more than Tenshi's (or the "servants" team for that matter)
Also Suwako's heelish turn may linger in these matches as both her previous ones seemed to push her more and more to that point. In contrast, Sanae's becoming more of a face as these matches go on.

Well I wouldn't be surprised if they did it. I'm more worried about something very cliched like Moriya vs Red 75% or Servants vs Red 75% being the final matches. But I wonder who could be brought into such a thing for only one match.
In this regard the Heaven Sky team is the most exciting team as they won given their all and are rather heroic outsiders to the organizer's schemes.

Suwako's definitely on the heel side of things, but not as much as the immortals, or even Reimu. Sanae has always been a face, but she really became a spotlight hog after the first round. The Aki sisters may be out of a job if Moriya loses this round.
