A Night Sailing
The waves tonight are soft against our hull,
each gentle rock a heartbeat felt
through the main deck's wooden spine.
Though a velvet silence holds us close,
the ship's lone horn still wanders through the halls—
a sleepy serenade for the stars above.
Quiet words are breathed into the dark,
guiding us gently past the shadows,
until the first warm blush of dawn
rises softly at the edge of the sky.
