She is one of the "Kemono-girl" characters from the serie's history, though she doesn't really give off a strong kemono (beast-person) vibe.
I thought it might be nice to incorporate a seasonal theme, so I gave her a Christmas-style outfit.
When you think of Christmas animals, reindeer come to mind, of course,
but I didn't have much reference material on what exactly makes a reindeer look like a reindeer, so I just sort of stuck some ears on her.
