    You can, if you put two extra parts: the backing parts to hold the spring in place, and the lock part that prevents the gloves from going off before the box gets fully opened. Of course, the box needs to be strong enough not to be broken from the tensed spring in the first place, so normal cardboard box would be a no-go.
