    same tbh. i guess it's the blurry background? like the old one had a "this is a drawing" vibes. they also drew the neckerchief moving with the wind which added dynamicity to the picture. characters were more expressive too

    it kind of feels like it looks more professional by modern standards but it also lost a lot of soul

    kinda makes me think that all anime art being made today would look better if it was made 10 years ago instead
