A while ago, I played a drawing in Okachimachi and won a stuffed gorilla about the height of an adult. I remember how much trouble it was to bring home. Somehow, I managed to carry it home in my arms, but boy, was I embarrassed on the train! I ended up giving it to my kid-sister umbrella.

Oh my, if Sanae-san ever comes to Boston, she'll end up making both of them go poor! There's so much penguin stuff to buy, it's not even funny. I'd totally buy a couple plushes myself, if I had the funds and space for them, and if I could, I'd want plushes of all the characters, especially a giant plush Ran with big, fluffy tails.

My mom used to joke that we'd have to buy extra flight ticket if we bought ourselves a giant plushie (and yeah, I'd totally try it in the future for the lulz).

Point of info: The "crap-bolt penguin" (also tagged in the strip about crapping penguins) is a pun on Humboldt penguin. In this case the kanji for crap is read as "fun" (see also: Monster Hunter item Wyvern Dung), hence "funboruto" (crap-bolt, or Humboldt).

One of my great regrets of this trip is that we didn't get a picture of him with one of the giant stuffed penguins.
