Is this the part when they try to make Byakuren to drink some sake?

I hope the next Touhou game or book clears up any doubts about Byakuren. I went to /jp/ for the first time to discuss this book and they really seem to hate and adore her.

I'm on that discussion too, and it's an excellent sign of ZUN being a writter that different people can see the same symposium and end with completely different opinions about the characters.

Maybe Kanako and Byakuren should leave the Old Maid Alliance, join up with Miko, and call themselves the New Age Alliance.

Between the three, Byakuren seems like the most realistic to me.

For one something can be good when for another person it would be plainly evil.

Akyuu states that she is very 'grandmotherly' to her youkai followers, its just a bit twisted when you think about the things youkai do in the zuniverse.

So the thing being she may be a good person, since she sees the youkai as the ones who need protection, but her relationship with humanity is a lot more complicated.
