Also, while I was creating this story, Masayoshi Yamazaki's "One more time, one more chance" was constantly playing in my head. I've arbitrarily decided that it's the theme song for this work. If you're interested, listening to it while paying attention to the lyrics after you finish reading might allow you to immerse yourself even more in the world of the story. Of course, this is all while keeping the Girls' Secret Sealing Club as the main theme.

What did you think of StrangeChameleon's tenth book, "Gensou ni Itaru Yamai"?

I incorporated my own interpretation of the connection between Merry and Yukari into this story. I hope you can get a sense of the settings I imagined while putting this work together. I probably won't be using the same settings for future works, but if I ever have the opportunity to make a sequel, I would like to delve deeper into that area. I've also been thinking that the First Lunar War, the reason why Yukari mainly acts at night, and the circumstances surrounding the creation of the Hakurei Great Barrier are all because of the search for her.

This time, even after finishing the storyboards, we kept having meetings and making revisions, and before we knew it, the volume had almost doubled from the original. But I think it's better because of that, so I feel like it was worth the time we spent on it. I'm really feeling it. Because of the effort we put in, my affection for Renko and Merry has also skyrocketed. I'd like to try drawing a story about the two of them leisurely searching for the supernatural, not a serious one.

Hello, nice to meet you! I'm Hiyori, and I've been suffering from a canker sore while working on my manuscript. It's my first canker sore...... I didn't realize it was this painful...... I felt the same way when I had my wisdom teeth pulled, but not being able to enjoy my food is seriously tough.

Well, this is our circle's second serious story, and our first ever Hifuu book. And unlike the last one, it's a pretty heavy, serious one...... After much trial and error, trying this and that, the number of pages increased dramatically. That's strange, I originally planned for around 40 pages. But I put a lot of effort into it, so I hope you enjoy it. When I went back to my parents' house while working on the manuscript, I found out that there's actually a field of ancient lotus flowers nearby, and they're in full bloom, so I went to take some photos for reference, which is a good memory. I was really surprised by this coincidence! Unfortunately, I went in the evening, so most of the petals had already closed. They say the flowers sprouted and bloomed from ancient lotus seeds that are over 2000 years old. Lotuses are really powerful plants, aren't they? When you think about it that way, don't you feel like Renko and Merry in this story will surely meet again?
