Sorry, I meant to write "I just asked an AI real quick how many male and female angels were in the bible", and then I tried to edit it in my previous comment but you'd already written your response so it seemed bad form to edit that any further. Anyway, point is, there are many male angels in the bible, but no female ones. According to Venice AI, at least.
[edit] Just found this: Zechariah 5:9 (AMP) "9 Then I looked up, and there were two women coming out with the wind in their wings; and they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heavens." Apparently this is the only mention of something strongly resembling a female version of the modern image of an angel, though. It's not strictly CONFIRMED that these were angels, and their description is from a vision that maybe shouldn't be interpreted literally, but it's something. And a lot of people just insist that angels are entirely without sex or gender.
