You know, i saw some other post where commenters were getting mad at a implied homophobic art piece and others were dimissive about them. Understandable
Then there's this post with some IT'S comments and it's just a characters holding the pride with an appropriate reaction. It gets insulted with some others calling them out for their BS. It's pretty humorous if nothing else. This place has everyone.

If you're talking about post #11541115, the point of the "complaining" was to argue why the homophobia tag applied to the post in question. Whether they were correct or not, it's still quite a bit different then what's happening here.

You are right but I mostly talking about danbooru having user with very different views of things that leads to interesting conversations.

One is an accusation of homophobia, where there is very little evidence to support it from the Artist's statements or commentary; this one is a direct 'threat' against those who: 'don't celebrate pride 'Year'' saying they will: 'be erased by time,' written by the Artist themselves. Directly stirring the pot will not get you many supporters, especially when people are already tired of the rhetoric being shoved in people's faces from an extreme minority in a minority group, which doesn't help them in any way.

Celebrate your sexuality, but stop yelling at others about it, most people understand that it's normal to accept and respect another person's sexuality, as long as it's not done in a very explicit or obnoxious way. Also people typically do not react well with others threatening them about a topic.

In the latter case, I think those who would be mad at he artist statement are taking the artist statement too seriously. I mean, it doesn't seem especially serious to me. And also, people would hate that community regardless of what they did. They could do nothing and they still get strays. Yeah, some are loud and obnoxious, but there's loud guys everywhere. Should I judge BA guys because of the annoying creatures on Twitter?

I would agree if wasn't pride month. Now more than ever, they need to be "obnoxious and explicit" in celebrating themselves. If someone were to actually get mad about that, they can block and ignore them, as the lolicons of old would say.
Also, if they get that angry about being jokingly "threatened", I hope they're steadfast about similar accusations and threats aim towards that community and similar ones

I think the relative prevalence of anti-homosexual sentiment now compared to in the 90's at least indicates that there absolutely can be more or fewer such people depending on homosexuals' behavior. Surely, if you march through NY chanting "we're here, we're queer and we're coming for your children" and the San Franscisco gay choir records a song along the same lines, there is going to be more distrust towards the LGBTQETC than if that just didn't happen.

Nobody likes obnoxious people. Anyone who seeks broader acceptance should absolutely not be deliberately obnoxious. That's just the most common of sense.
The homophobes of today are not that way because they were brainwashed in church, that's several generations past. They've grown up being taught it's okay to be gay, only to later turn against the homosexuals when they grew older. The homosexuals WERE broadly accepted, and that seems to have been squandered, maybe because of some baffling need to be needlessly antagonistic.
