I had purchased @Momoroo emoji just for this purpose. She creates absolutely adorable chibi originals, Adoptables, commissions, and contest. I have been restudying a lot of shoujo anime designs lately, and grabbed her lovely Emoji challenge design to use as a reference for one restudy.

I stuck with the paintery 3D style just because that is what I enjoy doing and used a common playful stance. The background is a mix of manga brushes and feathering.
