  • Blackbird beautyshot

This one is from around 2 years back. After I’ve finished working on the redesign for EVEs Blackbird (head here to check it out https://www.artstation.com/artwork/xYEJY ) I wanted to make this kind of a poster piece that could be used as marketing material or whatnot (ended up being used in the Art of Eve artbook iirc and for signed prints to go along with the collectors edition of that), as I had the blockout ready anyway and it was only a matter of making some renders and painting over them and felt like a nice way to wrap up the design. I think in the end it was done on top of a very basic maya viewport screengrab, which is something I do a lot instead of making a “proper” render (in keyshot etc). It’s cool how simple means are often more than enough to get the piece to a (reasonably) presentable state.
