Well at least this wasn't for nothing, as I realized how amaaaaazing the painterly approach and workflow of people like yuming li or craigmullins is, but at the same time doesn't have to be adopted by me. I never have fun with it. It's sad to admit to myself because watching these processes has always been so mindblowing at events or in classes. but it probably sharpens the path ahead of me to know what isn't for me.
This is probably also why the painting studies of old masters always frustrated me sm, the results of me trying to fit that never convinced me.
