    And so, before I even know it, I'm up to my 500th strip. Up until about #200, I was fairly concerned with what strip I was up to, but before I knew it, I didn't care any more. :-) I was sure I'd run out of material, but somehow I managed better than I thought.

    Having people read me through this manga all the way over in the US is a dream come true. It feels like next year, I'll enter Gensokyo. In other words, please continue to read from #501 onward as well!

    And even as I say this, I'm not sure I'll have time to draw tomorrow or the day after. (^^;) In particular, at midnight the day after tomorrow, I expect I'll be flying over the Pacific, so posting at my regular time will be impossible.

    Well, who'd have thunk Hitoshi would be reading danbooru comments? I've just got a couple of questions for him. First off, why choose Kogasa and Sanae over the other characters? Secondly, any plans involving characters who haven't yet appeared for the future?

    Solamarle is going full time as hitoshi's translator and handler. we literally could not do this without him.

    hitoshi answered a couple of your questions already at the panel- which is recorded- he decided to be kogasa because of the whole rain thing, and sanae just because he likes the ship, basically. his favorite food is curry, although tonight we intend to stuff a five pound burger and five pounds of fries in him.

    Thanks for doing all those strips all this time, they're really enjoyable! Gratz on 500 strips, I'll be anxiously rooting for you being able to reach 1000!
    I'm also impressed that he doesn't have a queue... Updating webcomics weekly seems hard enough without one, imagine daily!

    Also, thank you for all you guys who brought him over AB. I can't go, but I'm sure I'll be able to enjoy it from the recordings / comics!!

    You make one of my favorite web-comics - and you do a really impressive job. Two or three hours every day is a tight schedule. Don't neglect your wife too much or you'll be sanaelated again.

    I wish I could've gone to Anime Boston this year, but Wyoming's a little too far to drive from. I hope Kogasauthor and his entourage are having a great time there!

    Hello from Scotland! Congratulations on the 500th strip. I can't remember how long I've been following this for anymore. Nonetheless I'll still be reading by the time it reaches the 1000th.

    Also question if these are still being read. Do you ask for your friends permission before drawing them or do you just draw them anyway?

    We showed Mizuki-san the various greetings in this thread. He wanted to make sure everyone knew how very grateful he was for all the congratulations and well wishes, and he was really amazed to see how many places he had fans in. Thank you, everyone!

    To answer the one question I did see that hadn't gotten answered, as it's an anonymous comic, he usually doesn't ask, but he will if he wants to draw something he's not sure they'd be okay with.
