And so, before I even know it, I'm up to my 500th strip. Up until about #200, I was fairly concerned with what strip I was up to, but before I knew it, I didn't care any more. :-) I was sure I'd run out of material, but somehow I managed better than I thought.

Having people read me through this manga all the way over in the US is a dream come true. It feels like next year, I'll enter Gensokyo. In other words, please continue to read from #501 onward as well!

And even as I say this, I'm not sure I'll have time to draw tomorrow or the day after. (^^;) In particular, at midnight the day after tomorrow, I expect I'll be flying over the Pacific, so posting at my regular time will be impossible.

Are you serious? No wedding ring despite their long term marriage? Do they have a different equivalent over there, like a family heirloom or something? Or is Kogasauthor being a little forgetful?

Maybe it's a money thing. Regardless, it's a personal issue, and probably none of our business.

Please send my regards to Hitoshi, wish I could have met him in person. And I love what he did to his luggage

    I can't believe he doesn't have a queue or something. Dude's a trooper.

I'm guessing the wedding ring stuff is different that with the fact they didn't have a western-style wedding.

Well, who'd have thunk Hitoshi would be reading danbooru comments? I've just got a couple of questions for him. First off, why choose Kogasa and Sanae over the other characters? Secondly, any plans involving characters who haven't yet appeared for the future?

Oh if he's reading these, can you ask him two questions:
'What's your favourite dish,' and: 'What does he think of the UK.'

Also, say we: 'Congratulate him on his 500th strip and look forward his future releases,' if you haven't already.

Solamarle is going full time as hitoshi's translator and handler. we literally could not do this without him.

hitoshi answered a couple of your questions already at the panel- which is recorded- he decided to be kogasa because of the whole rain thing, and sanae just because he likes the ship, basically. his favorite food is curry, although tonight we intend to stuff a five pound burger and five pounds of fries in him.

Oh, another hello here from Brazil!! Hi Kogasauthor!! I wonder whether he likes this nickname =)
Thanks for doing all those strips all this time, they're really enjoyable! Gratz on 500 strips, I'll be anxiously rooting for you being able to reach 1000!
I'm also impressed that he doesn't have a queue... Updating webcomics weekly seems hard enough without one, imagine daily!

Also, thank you for all you guys who brought him over AB. I can't go, but I'm sure I'll be able to enjoy it from the recordings / comics!!

Greetings from Germany and grats for 500 strips, Mizuzki-san! How does it feel to be a superstar with fans all over the world?

You make one of my favorite web-comics - and you do a really impressive job. Two or three hours every day is a tight schedule. Don't neglect your wife too much or you'll be sanaelated again.

Thanks for 500 entertaining comic strips, I'm looking forward to the next 500.

for whoever asked yesterday- hitoshi indeed uses comic studio. he starts with the 4 panel layout template and sketches in text bubbles, then figures. lines come next, and colors are mostly freehand with very little use of the wand.

Eagle's Deli, in Cleveland Circle, Boston. The fries are part of their Challenge meal--5 pounds of burger, 5 pounds of fries, 1 pickle, 20 pieces of bacon, 20 pieces of cheese, eat it all in an hour and you get a prize.

Eagle's Deli, in Cleveland Circle, Boston. The fries are part of their Challenge meal--5 pounds of burger, 5 pounds of fries, 1 pickle, 20 pieces of bacon, 20 pieces of cheese, eat it all in an hour and you get a prize.

....well, if he ever gives up being a comic artist, he can always try and parlay his way into a Japanese edition of Man Vs. Food.

We showed Mizuki-san the various greetings in this thread. He wanted to make sure everyone knew how very grateful he was for all the congratulations and well wishes, and he was really amazed to see how many places he had fans in. Thank you, everyone!

To answer the one question I did see that hadn't gotten answered, as it's an anonymous comic, he usually doesn't ask, but he will if he wants to draw something he's not sure they'd be okay with.

    Good to hear!

Couldn't comment before due to a long car ride, but this is a great achievement. Cheers to Mizuki keeping up the good work.

That big eyed one looks like a gremlin. Cute. Did you try a penguin cosplay yet? *hides*

I can't wait to see his experiences from Anime Boston on the strip. I'm pretty much happy for Mr. Kogasauthor.
