Is anyone else feeling the same thing as me? I'm actually enjoying these pictures, I find most of the expressions made really cute as opposed to being heart-wrenching. Well, the Chen in the fire one, was a little over the top.
Meh, these are getting less interesting. Mostly just getting told something, no feeding them something they're allergic to or anything like that (though I guess that can't be helped because not all Touhou characters have those type of negative attributes)
Considering the other "beautiful" series he makes, I think this is a healthy outlet for his anxiety/anger. He may hurt the characters, but he's not punching children at least.

They don't need to have negative attributes, just attributes period. If they've got characteristics, Gaoo can use them to hurt them. Suika's horns aren't a negative characteristic, but he can still abuse her by sawing them off. I think that's why this one doesn't elicit much emotion; he's not keeping her locked in the basement and making people lose faith in her, or doing something snake related. He's just calling her smelly.
