The Freesia Boy
November 7th 2010 / Harry Potter
The summer after second year, Scorpius comes to visit the Weasley house! Hugo, who's just finished his first year, adores Scorpius at school too, so he's thrilled. Hermione is all smiles at the well-mannered Scorpius. Being petty, Ron says, "Welcome. Our house is incomparably smaller than yours, so it'll probably feel cramped", and gets his backside pinched by Rose and Hermione.
Scorpius has brought homemade sweets made by his mother Astoria as a gift, which surprises the Weasley couple. Hermione thinks to herself, somewhat happily for reasons she can't quite place, "He ended up with someone warm-hearted, didn't he..."
Ron mutters under his breath, "Bet they're poisoned," and this time gets his belly fat pinched by Rose and Hermione.
Now, if Draco and Hermione had dated during their school days, the homemade sweets brought as a gift would be the same ones Hermione used to make for Draco back then. Draco developed a taste for them... so his wife Astoria naturally ended up making them often too... and even though there's no hidden intent, the scene at the table becomes bittersweet. Hermione should feel her heart skip a beat, just for a moment.
That's the fantasy, anyway.
Oh! I meant to draw flowers but forgot!
