  • Next line for my region

I’m not sure if Quaquaval is exactly a peacock or a duck or what, but I was already set on doing a peacock line at some point and here we are. These guys had a different concept at the beginning but ending up turning into these kimono dancers with fan blade wings and a fan blade tail, and I quite like how they turned out (and I’m sure someone is going to say this in the comments despite what I’m about to say, but no this is not based off of Lord Shen from Kung Fu Panda. Friend pointed that out to me when I showed him but this was not inspired off of him)

Odoriko is a combination of the Japanese words Odori (meaning dancing), and Hiyoko (meaning chick). They don’t have the fighting type just yet as they are still young, and are actually rather clumsy, tripping over their big feet frequently trying to mimic the beautiful dances of their evolution and other professional dancers

Kujariko is Kujaku (meaning peacock), and Odoriko (dancer). Their wings and giant tail are actually metallic (why the grey was implemented) and they represent the paper fans but are actually more like the Japanese war fans. And going with the fans I thought of dancers from Japanese festivals dancing in kimonos, so I added that to the concept as well. These guys basically perform beautiful dances, both for entertainment at festivals and such and in combat. In combat they become entrancing to watch and mix up their movements with swift and precise attacks with their war fan wings and tail

That should wrap it up for these guys. Feel free to leave any questions down below if you have any. Always gotta credit my artist @poketrainervb over on instagram for bringing my concepts to life (this one especially as it took a bit more work than others). My instagram is @mystria_region where I repost my region but with more stuff like stats and abilities and all that. And I hope you all enjoy this line!
