I don't get Deathmatcher's comment, but FJH's is implying that Shikieiki was originally a jizou statue. I forget the where I heard it exactly, but it's said that she was a jizou statue that had received enough faith to ascend to a higher plane of consciousness or something. Promoted to living existence, if you will.
