Second: It just kind of bothers me that in a gallery full of women and girls in sexually submissive poses, met by the community with cheers and adulation, that an image with a dude in such a situation is met with three "DO NOT WANTs." If this were a genderswap, the commentary would be entirely different. Or, given the "quality" of the art, it might not even have any commentary at all.
I don't know why so many dudes have to be so reactionary about this kind of thing. You can not like it; that's totally acceptable, and honestly to be expected from a straight man. But I don't think you have the right to be offended by this if you'd be fapping to a genderswap.
Second: I understand what you're saying, but this is totally the wrong place to give that speech in more ways than one. Seriously.
First: Fair enough.
Second: Yea, I suppose I'm aware of that, but this sort of thing is a pet peeve of mine. In addition to being offensive, it also really doesn't help anime nerds fight the stereotypes people hold against them.

Truthfully, it's nothing to get riled over, Danbooru is a hentai/anime whatevers site. If you want to find 'like minded' forum posters that wouldn't have a problem with Link getting raped by tentys then you should prolly go find a yaoi site. Yaoi is a relatively new thing getting popular now in anime and seeing that anime for the longest was a boy's playground...most aren't interested in seeing Link or any guy getting well...you know. And they are allowed to voice that.
The majority of the users here are males and there are very few females here *raises hand*. At the end of the day, it's whatever floats your boat.

It's amusing that you make assumptions that I never stated. A lot of people, men and women, are incredibly offended by the very concept of emasculation, be it sexual or not. And a lot of these same people aren't bothered by the impressing of submission on women by various cultures.

Whoops. Doing too many things at once, forgot the "post without bumping" button wasn't a preview button.
Anyway... I am aware that anime, and especially hentai, are considered more the pursuit of those of us with the Y chromosome. I don't begrudge my fellow dudes a distaste for this sort of thing. Really, "do not want" doesn't bother me as much as comments like "Hell no" and "not ok" which suggest that this sort of thing is unacceptable, whereas it would be, if it were a woman. That's all.
If they are allowed to voice their opnion, then I'd like to think that I am as well. But I really shouldn't let it bother me, especially here of all places.

True, true. But I think why the many people don't like this is because...It's screwing up with their good memories. I gotta admit, I thought "what the fuck" when seeing the pic'.
