A depiction of Malenia and Miquella in the roots of the Haligtree. Miquella has ascended to godhood as he holds Malenia with one of his spiritual arms and pries open the aeonia with his other spiritual arm. His flesh arm is beginning to pull away the last "petal" of the aeonian chrysalis wrapped around Malenia's body as she remains slack in Miquella's arms, her eyes obscured by her hair still containing remnants of butterflies from her fight with the Tarnished. Golden tears fall from Miquella's right eye as he gazes down at the form of his twin in his arms. Behind Miquella is the backdrop of the last golden root of the Haligtree. Behind Malenia, flowers bloom amidst the roots.

One step at a time, Miquella forced his body forward through the rot infected water, to where his sister awaited him. He would return to her, one last time, even if he was too late to save her.

He will keep his promise.
