Actually, that's easier than you think. I used to do it in high-school while waiting for the bus, because mine took 45 minutes to arrive after school let out.
It's a simple matter of relaxing your muscles slowly until you find your skeleton's perfect balance point, so you can stay straight up without using muscles.
The hard parts are getting used to the strain on your knees, and the unpredictability of wind.
