If you get to write something for 50 grand, you'll probably do it too. And considering her financial situation, I can understand where she's coming from.
Principle and honour can't buy one food or shelter.

If you don't believe in some sort of life-after-death in which you are rewarded for your actions in this life, there's no reason to have any principles or honor at all.
IF this is the only life you get, and IF it's not being judged, there's no point in behaving with integrity. For that matter, without a judge, who the hell can say what is and isn't good behavior?
At least in Touhou, there is Shiki Eiki, who judges whether you get to enjoy the afterlife in the Netherworld, or reflect on your rotten attitude in Hell.

It isn't a matter of principle, it's a matter of instinct. If this Aya had any substance at all, she wouldn't have even been tempted.

Actually, you'd be hard pressed to find a respected atheist philosopher that said "Do what you want, because there are no consequences!" Quite a few people believe in no after-life AND also believe in being decent people above all else.
Still, this comic is just being played for laughs, so, go ahead and be a metaphorical whore, Aya.
