Ah, that's probably it. It just seems like Flan got over her anger so fast. A bit too fast IMO. Then again, with only 4 panels per page to tell a story, it makes seem so much quicker.
Anybody willing to bet that the Scarlet family will get Nazrin to help find Flan? I don't think she has made an appearance in this series yet. In fact I don't think anybody from the Myouren temple (except Kogasa) or the newer Ten Desire's cast has made an appearance in colonel_AKI's works yet.

Touhou character powers in Life of Maid are constrained by the Rule of Funny - they can only use their powers if it contributes to the humor. That's why Sakuya can stop time to drag Patchy and Kaguya into the ocean and Satori can read Flan's mind to beat her in ping-pong, but Flan doesn't go around kyuu'ing everything in sight.
The same goes for species weaknesses too - that's why Remi and Flan can go out in daylight without harm (it would hinder the school and sports scenes, to say nothing of the beach arc, if they had to cover up or only go out at night).
Just struck my mind, Araragi in bakemonogatari is a vampire too (well, former). Does this mean that Flan will get rescued by vampire too? (You know who I mean)
Mithiwithi: Well, there's also the bit that in original Romanian lore, strigoii (I'm not sure about moroii) weren't actually wounded by sunlight--it just weakened them to about the strength level of an ordinary human (q.v. the original Dracula novel). Sunlight being fatal was an innovation of "Nosferatu". If I remember correctly, sunlight just bothers Remilia in some way, perhaps the way a constant driving rain in high winds would bother most of us (never mind that Zun apparently decided that rain itself was a nuisance for vampires, because it's flowing water).
