Artist's commentary
Back when I was a ronin, "Galaxy Express 999" was being rebroadcast in the evening slot.
That voice, guiding Tetsuro with its cool clarity and, at times, a terrifying resonance, was an unlimited pass granting courage to face the unseen tomorrow at the end of the day.

To you, who must still be watching over Earth from the train window, beyond even light and time.
