My past self
Two “what if” drawings imagining whether he could hug his past self. At the very least, it seems like he could hug that self more honestly than he could when dealing with N.
I think the reason Ghetsis treats N so harshly is because he fears that N might become someone superior to him—like N might replace him. That kind of fear terrifies him.
[About my interpretation of Ghetsis’s past]
In my view, Ghetsis was also an orphan in the past, just like N. In order to survive and secure a place where he belonged, he did whatever it took. During that time, he developed the ability to read the subtleties of people’s emotions—but his personality ended up becoming twisted as a result. That’s the image of Ghetsis I have in my mind.
