I wonder if this is supposed to imply that Alice is dead? Given the state of Shanghai's clothes there seems to have been some sort of fight.

That or Alice went back to Makai and hasn't been around to repair wear and tear...But then, it doesn't seem like she would abandon her precious dolls.
