Above gif is part A (part 1 of 5) of episode 8 in the Kidou Senshi Non-chan gif-anime series. The series was created by a one man production team and ran from 2000 to 2003. A trailer was released for a 9th episode but a complete release was never made.
There are several versions available. The original low resolution gifs are available from the main site. A higher resolution dvd release with background music is also available. Several fan dubbings have added their own background music, sound effects, and/or voice.
The series primarily uses music from and references to Mobile Suit Gundam and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Further references are pulled from a wide variety of sources, including Captain Harlock, Space Battleship Yamato, Macross, Ultraman, several Fujiko F. Fujio and Tezuka Osamu works, other Gainax works, and western series such as Star Trek. The plot uses concepts from internet communities, particularly trolling, as its primary material.
The series is best enjoyed with the (relatively) high resolution dvd version. I've included a mediafire link to this version below. 20 minutes, 40MB. Playback with VLC media player recommended.
