Winter, 1943~1944. As the sun sets over a war-torn Germany, two Bf 109 G-6 fighters of Jagdgeschwader 300 (JG 300) rise into the twilight to intercept a returning "Combat Box" of B-17G Flying Fortresses from the US 8th Air Force.
Originally formed as a specialized night-fighter unit utilizing "Wilde Sau" (Wild Boar) tactics, the pilots of JG 300 were masters of hunting in the dark. During late 1943, they frequently scrambled in the late afternoon to use the blinding sunsets and fading light to ambush battered and straggling bomber formations making their long journey home.
In the distant burning sky, the exhausted B-17s of the 1st Bomb Division form a grim, heavy silhouette, setting the stage for a brutal dusk engagement.

1943年冬。ドイツ上空に夕闇が迫る中、第300戦闘航空団（JG 300）所属の2機のBf 109 G-6が、帰投中の米第8航空軍B-17G爆撃機の「コンバット・ボックス（箱型編隊）」を邀撃すべく薄暮の空へ上昇していく。
