ヒロシゲ号に乗った秘封倶楽部の二人は
歴史を感じさせる田舎：旧都東京へフィールドワーク
と称した格安観光ツアーに訪れていた。

ヒビ割れ草茫々の環状線跡を全地形対応自動運転車に分乗して
往時を偲ぶ観光スポットを廻るのだが、
蓮子は美人ガイドの合成音声を聞き飽きたらしく
時系列立体地図を夢中で弄っている。

正午を廻ってやや日が傾いた頃、
フリータイムに移行するや否や蓮子は秘封倶楽部活動開始と宣言し、
何処かの座標を車載AIへ指示して推奨コースからかなり外れた地区に向かう。
目的地到着がアナウンスされ、二人のうち一人は意気揚々と降り立った。

訪れた先は神社跡や廃寺が集まる街区のようだ。
少し汗ばむ陽気の中、蓮子は正面の大きく崩れた建物に近づこうとするが、
メリーの目は崩れた鳥居の向こうに違和感を感じていた。

And was rather engrossed in fiddling with a time-series 3D map.

As soon as the sun started to set a little after noon,
Free time began, and Renko declared that the Hifuu Club activities were about to begin,
She instructed the onboard AI to set some coordinates and headed for an area quite far from the recommended route,
When an announcement was made that they had arrived at their destination, one of the two got off in high spirits.

Their destination appeared to be a block of ruins, filled with the remains of shrines and abandoned temples.
In the slightly sweaty weather, Renko approaches the large, collapsed building in front of her,
But Merry's eyes sense something strange beyond the collapsed torii gate.
