It's okay to tag pictures that imply parenthood, but why tag them as mother and daughter or father and daughter when they're just hugging, when that's not the case?! They're not parents, or even adoptive parents, to just put that tag on.

The tags are for familial relationships, not the "appearance" of it. The entire story was about the past Rover taking Aemeath in and raising her in place of her missing parents for a time, and Aemeath wanting to make her caretaker proud by lightening their burden. You wouldn't shirk the tag with a character like Anya (Spy X Family) appearing with Twilight (Spy X Family) either.

They aren't suddenly not in an adoptive parental situation just because the care time was short, or because Aemeath looks different now after many years have passed while Rover doesn't (which they don't even share the same lifespans, one being essentially immortal).

He simply helped her and then left, just as he helps everyone and took care of her because she is a child. But that doesn't make him a parent in any way. He just took care of her, but because of that, adding a parenthood tag is simply incorrect. Otherwise, Rover would be a parent to everyone and would be in a relationship with everyone. It’s not right to label him with parenthood just because he helped her. Nowhere is it stated or mentioned that he acts as a replacement parent. Therefore, this tag is inappropriate here. These are different things, like in Spy x Family, where the girl was specifically taken in as a daughter, while Rover saved her. So, these are different situations.

That's a ridiculous reduction of the characters, denial of the very story and a heavy false equivalence. No, they didn't simply "help" her, they raised her. You misunderstand the dynamics here if you think having a large collection of books on parenthood, Aemeath saying she can "become [Rover]'s family while [they] can't return home" and the full and complete parental angle of the entire story's run length does not point towards a very different relationship than what they have with other people they helped.

The mental gymnastics and copium required to equate Rover's interactions with Aemeath's to, say, Jinhsi or Iuno as "simple help" is something else. And I don't know how you can say it's "not stated anywhere" when it is plastered everywhere explicitly to make sure the point hits home. Rover saved and raised Aemeath until they had to leave the region.

It's more of a vision of something that doesn't exist, what's "indicated" there is only what YOU see, he didn't raise her as a parent, he would have been with her a little and just looked after her, that's all, as he does with everyone, and you think about parenthood only because she was a child, which clearly does not indicate that he became a parent, because then many could have been put in this position, and you perceived his help as parental because she was a child, but this does not affect what is true, he helped, but he is not a parent and this does not make her his daughter, it is simply absurd that for his help he suddenly becomes a parent, at this rate and with such logic you can put every girl as his wife and put the tag husband and wife, but that would be wrong, right?! So here, simply because of her age, you perceived incorrectly what Zotel Rover did, namely to help her and that's all, and you immediately began to call him a parent, although again, nowhere is it said that he was a parent, NOWHERE, this is just your speculation

You can't be serious. All of that to just run yourself in circles and completely ignore everything else except your own headcanon, while the story itself disagrees with you. Writing more doesn't suddenly make you more right. Go petition in the forum if you think that taking someone in and raising them doesn't qualify for an adoptive/caretaker relationship.

Genuine copium. She won't date you man.

That's exactly what's not in the game. I don't understand what dating has to do with it. Are you one of those people who plays for relationships?! I'm just stating the facts. He didn't take her because he wanted to, but because she would have died if he hadn't helped. And if simply helping a child counts as becoming a parent to you, then I advise you not to approach children at all, otherwise you might become a parent out of nowhere. People like that are among the main ones on this site, the ones who confuse people with tags.

I kinda miss the days when people just made/fapped to porn of the characters they want to have sex with instead of this weird discourse about being for/against parasocialism.

The amount of reaching to try and avoid calling this what it is deeply puzzles me, and so do the weird false equivalent tangents.

Again, go petition in the forum if you think that taking someone in and raising them doesn't apply. None of the relationship between Rover and Aemeath is "simply helping someone do something". The crux and core point of the story was reunion and desperation because of the close relationship they had, more than any other character so far, and largely about a role reversal where Aemeath was the one helping Rover when it's usually Rover to help others. Tagging it on current-day Aemeath is representative of the continuation of the familial relationship they had.

It's not worth it to engage further if we're going to talk in circles and turn this into a 50-comment post where the original point is lost. We have things we don't like or don't want to see but doesn't change what something actually is.

EDITED: Due to recent edits and DMail conversations, I've expanded on my point a bit more clearly.
