    Because she's a divine being (Adeptus) and most Adeptis aren't really known for their mortal common sense? Heck, the same tea seller managed to sell a bunch of tea leaves to Xianyun (which is why the player said that they've seen this before).

    Still, if I were the merchant in that scene, I probably would've explained "Uhh, sorry, but the discount maxes out at 50%." But then again, it would've been less funny.
