You get it if you act overly protective and try to keep Hanako safe and sheltered from the world instead of helping her break down the walls she's built around herself. In a way, the "moral" of Hanako's route is that being too much of a white knight will get you nowhere.
there's TWO bad endings! I don't quite remember since I went through the whole game in 24 hours. But, I know that one was; ending with "but I later realized that the door clicking ended more than that conversation" or something. while the other ended with something like; but I knew we would never be anything more than that... or something...

The second one you mentioned is the normal end. Hanako doesn't get angry, him and her stay as as friends yay!
